Bhubaneswar, Sept. 5 -- Odisha Housing and Urban Development Secretary Usha Padhee has directed all departments responsible for roads within urban local body (ULB) limits to undertake urgent repairs of potholes and cover open roadside drains in a mission mode.
In a letter to the Works Department, Rural Development Department, and regional officers of the National Highways Authority, Padhee instructed strict compliance with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi's order to ensure pothole-free roads and covered drains across all ULBs in the state.
She emphasized that immediate repair of potholes and covering of roadside drains along roads under NH, R&B, and RD departments passing through ULBs should be prioritized.
