Bhubaneswar, Feb. 3 -- In a significant step toward women's welfare and social equity, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday announced the launch of the "Mukhyamantri Kanya Bibaha Yojana," a scheme aimed at reducing the financial burden of daughters' marriages for economically backward families, particularly those belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
