Bhubaneswar, March 13 -- The Odisha Government on Thursday held district-level mass marriage ceremonies in Cuttack and Sundargarh to strengthen the "Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah Yojana", a key initiative under the Women and Child Development Department aimed at supporting economically disadvantaged families.
Deputy Chief Minister Prabhati Parida, who oversees the Women and Child Development Department, attended the Cuttack event and emphasized that the scheme goes beyond financial aid.
