Bhubaneswar, Feb. 22 -- The Sports and Youth Services Department of the Odisha government on Saturday felicitated medalists from the state for their achievements at the 38th National Games.
The athletes were honored with cash awards and certificates at a felicitation ceremony organized at the Kalinga Stadium Tennis Centre.
Gold medalists received a cash award of Rs.6 lakh, silver medalists were awarded Rs.4 lakh, and bronze medalists received Rs.3 lakh.
Odisha's Sports Minister, Suryabanshi Suraj, praised the athletes for their remarkable achievements, stating that the essence of sports lies in celebrating victories and using defeats as motivation to achieve greater success.
