Bhubaneswar, May 21 -- The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Odisha has arrested Dwipika Bhanjo and Tandra Bhanjo from Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal, in connection with a Ponzi scam involving more than Rs.123 crore and around 34,000 investors.
Dwipika and Tandra are the wife and daughter, respectively, of Tusar Bhanjo, the Director of Harit Krishi Nidhi Ltd. and M/s Transvision Dream Multi Trade Pvt. Ltd.
According to the EOW, the company collected over Rs.123 crore from investors across Odisha, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Tripura, Maharashtra, and even Bangladesh.
The two women have been booked under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471, and 120-B of the IPC, read with Sections 4, 5, and 6 of the PCMCS (Banning) Act, Section 6 of the OPID A...
