Bhubaneswar, Feb. 3 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday issued a stern directive to all upcoming industries in Rayagada district, mandating that 80 percent of jobs be reserved for local youth.

Stressing that industrial growth must directly benefit local communities, the Chief Minister said true development is possible only when employment opportunities reach the people of the region.

Addressing a public gathering while launching 109 development projects in Rayagada district, Majhi warned industries against ignoring local employment. "Industries are pillars of prosperity. If local youth do not get jobs, then who will?" he asked.
