Bhubaneswar, March 24 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday appealed to the public to participate in the complete eradication of tuberculosis.

Launching the 100-day campaign under the TB-Free India Mission 2.0 here, the Chief Minister said that government efforts alone are not sufficient; public participation is essential.

This will ensure 100 per cent success of the TB-free campaign and lead to the complete eradication of tuberculosis from Odisha and the country,he said.

It is noteworthy that at the national level, union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Jagat Prakash Nadda launched the "TB-Free India: 100-Day Campaign 2.0"and the Chief Minister joined the national program virtually from Lok Seva Bhavan.
