Bhubaneswar, April 22 -- The Odisha Cabinet on Wednesday approved the Odisha City Gas Distribution (CGD) Policy, aimed at accelerating the expansion of Piped Natural Gas (PNG) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) infrastructure across the state in line with the national push for clean and sustainable energy.
The new policy seeks to address key bottlenecks such as delays caused by multi-agency approvals and the absence of a unified regulatory framework. By streamlining procedures and simplifying clearances, it is expected to facilitate faster implementation of CGD projects.
