Bhubaneswar, April 22 -- In a major infrastructure push to ease mounting traffic congestion between the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, the Odisha Cabinet on Wednesday approved the construction of a high-level bridge over the Kathajodi river.The proposed bridge will be built upstream of the existing Subash Chandra Bose Setu, creating a direct link between Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. The project is expected to significantly reduce traffic pressure on NH-16, the primary corridor connecting the two cities.
The bridge will serve as a crucial connectivity link, improving traffic flow and enhancing commuter convenience between the urban centers. It is also expected to complement future infrastructure developments in the region.
