Bhubaneswar, Dec. 30 -- The Odisha government has prohibited all kinds of New Year celebrations in government offices across the state.
Celebrations such as gatherings, feasts, and parties are strictly banned within the premises of all State Government offices on New Year's Day.
According to a release from the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) issued on Tuesday, all heads of offices and institutions have been directed to ensure strict compliance with these instructions.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has clearly stated that government offices must not be used in any manner as venues for celebrating the English New Year.
