Bhubaneswar, March 26 -- Proceedings in the Odisha Assembly remained disrupted for the ninth consecutive day on Thursday, as opposition parties BJD and Congress intensified their protests demanding the resignation of Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling over the SCB Hospital fire incident that claimed 13 lives on March 16.

The repeated disruptions forced Speaker Surama Padhy to adjourn the House twice during the pre-lunch session-first from 10:38 AM to 11:30 AM, and again at 12:38 PM. Eventually, the House was adjourned until 10:30 AM on Monday.
