Kendrapara, Aug. 19 -- The Court of Additional District & Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge (POCSO), Prangya Parmita Raul, today sentenced a youth to 20 years Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) and imposed a fine of Rs.55,000 for kidnapping and raping a minor girl.
Special Public Prosecutor Manoj Kumar Sahoo said that in default of payment of the fine, the convict will have to undergo one additional year of RI.,the judge ordered
The convict, Miku alias Soumya Ranjan Lenka (19) of Rankala village under Patkura police station limits, had kidnapped a 17-year-old girl while she was returning home under Kudanagari police station jurisdiction.
