Kendrapara, June 2 -- The Additional District and Session Judge-cum-Special Court under POCSO Act of Kendrapada on Monday sentenced 20 years of Rigorous Imprisonment and a fine amount of Rs 50,000 to a Septuagenarian for his involvement in raping a 9-year old minor girl.
Special Public Prosecutor of Additional District Judge -cum-special judge(POCSO) Manoj Kumar Sahoo said the incident took place on November 28, 2024, under the Pattamundai Rural police limit.
The convict identified as Batakrushna Sahoo(70), of Badapada village under Pattamundai Sadar Rural Police station, found the victim minor girl, alone in
her house, raped her and fled from the scene.
