Bhubaneswar, June 4 -- The Odisha Government has deputed two medical teams to investigate the mysterious deaths of five critically ill patients at Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital (SLNMCH) in Koraput.

According to sources, five critically ill patients admitted to SLNMCH died within a span of thirty minutes late Tuesday night, triggering widespread discontent among their relatives.

The relatives have alleged that medical negligence was the prime cause of the deaths.

Of the five patients, four died while receiving treatment in the ICU, while the fifth died in the surgical ward of the hospital.
