Bhagalpur, Jan. 25 -- The security has been tightened at three major power plants of the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) located in Bihar and West Bengal following possible threats from terrorist organisations.
Official sources said here on Sunday that complying with the directions of the union Home Ministry, a high alert has been declared at the Kahalgaon, Barh, and Farakka power plants.
According to the source, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is maintaining round the clock vigilance at these plants. Strict monitoring is being carried out in all sensitive areas, with special attention on suspicious persons and objects.
