Thiruvananthapuram, Jan. 26 -- The Nair Service Society (NSS) has decided to withdraw from discussions on a proposed unity initiative with the Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam, distancing itself from a move that had triggered intense political interest ahead of the Kerala Assembly elections.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the NSS Director Board, which reviewed the evolving political context in the state and concluded that entering into any formal understanding with the SNDP Yogam would not be appropriate at this juncture.
Reaffirming its long-standing position, the NSS said it would continue to maintain strict equidistance from all political parties.
