Dimapur, March 31 -- The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) on Monday cautioned citizens to refrain from creating, sharing, or forwarding any unverified materials on weather-related information.

In a public advisory, Sentiwapang Aier, secretary, NSDMA, urged the public to rely only on official advisories and updates issued through its verified communication channels as well as those of the state government.

The advisory was issued following the circulation of a weather advisory graphic titled "Nagaland Weather Advisory: March 25-29"on social media and other platforms using NSDMA data, displaying an incorrectly generated district map, resulting in misleading information.
