Mumbai, March 11 -- Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar announced in the Maharashtra Assembly on Tuesday that if a beer or liquor shop is to be opened in the commercial premises of housing societies in the state, a 'No Objection Certificate' (NOC) from the concerned society will henceforth be mandatory, announced state. No new beer or liquor shop can be opened in the state without an NoC from the society, he said while replying to the issue of law and order being created due to beer and liquor shops in housing societies in the state raised by MLAs Mahesh Landge, Advocate Rahul Kul and other members through a calling attention motion.
