Srinagar, Jan. 16 -- Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board Chairperson and BJP leader Darakhshan Andrabi on Friday said that the ongoing profiling of mosques and Imams should not be given a political colour, asserting that exercise is aimed solely at safeguarding religious institutions.
She made the remarks amid massive controversy, with several political leaders in Kashmir describing the police exercise as an interference in religious affairs.
"As the government or the police is carrying out verification, I don't think politics should be seen in this," Andrabi told reporters when asked about the ongoing profiling of mosques and Imams.
