New Delhi, March 11 -- India's domestic LPG supply remains stable and households need not resort to panic booking, the government said on Wednesday, asserting that the normal delivery cycle for LPG cylinders continues to be around two-and-a-half days.

Addressing a press briefing, Sujata Sharma, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, said the government has taken several measures to ensure uninterrupted supply of cooking gas despite global uncertainties affecting energy markets.

"Our normal delivery cycle for domestic LPG remains around two-and-a-half days. So if you book a cylinder, you will receive the delivery within 2.5 days. Therefore, I request consumers not to rush to book cylinders. There is no need for panic...
