Shimla, Feb. 17 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Monday categorically rejected the statement made by former union Minister and BJP MP Anurag Thakur regarding the alleged issuance of a warning or advisory letter to the state government over the discontinuation of Revenue Deficit Grant (RDG).

Addressing mediapersons on the sidelines of the State Assembly complex, the Chief Minister said there was "no iota of truth" in the claim that the Centre had issued any advisory prior to the presentation of the report of the 16th Finance Commission on discontinuation of RDG.

He described the statement as misleading and said it amounted to an abdication of responsibility by elected representatives of the state in Parliament. ...
