Imphal, July 30 -- Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur, Pooja Elangbam, said that no children were found involved in child labour or trafficking in Bishnupur district of Manipur during a recently concluded 15-day district-wide campaign against child trafficking and labour.
Speaking at a district-level press briefing held at L. Mani Memorial Hall, Thamnapokpi, under the theme 'Stop Child Trafficking for Labour and Other Forms of Exploitation', the DC today commended the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Bishnupur, New Life Foundation, Manipur, and all concerned stakeholders for their coordinated efforts and commitment to child protection.
