Nagpur, March 24 -- The Nagpur district administration on Tuesday clarified that there is no shortage of fuel and sufficient stocks of petrol, diesel and cooking gas are available, even as panic buying led to long queues at petrol pumps across the city.
The sudden rush was reportedly triggered by fears of a possible disruption in global fuel supplies due to the ongoing US-Israel conflict with Iran. However, officials assured that the situation in the district remains fully under control.
District Collector Vipin Itankar stated that adequate fuel reserves are in place and the administration is keeping a close watch on developments.
He appealed to citizens to remain calm and avoid unnecessary stocking.
