New Delhi, Aug. 19 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta today reviewed the low-lying areas of the Yamuna floodplains as the river water level was in the alarm zone, even as she asserted that there was no flood-like situation in the city, adding that the levels will now gradually recede in a day or two.
Gupta paid a visit to the low-lying floodplain area of Yamuna Bazar, and stepped into the water logged lane to take stock of the arrangements and spoke to the residents as well as assured them of help from the agencies.
Gupta informed that the situation is under control, the river water level had come close to 206 m in the morning hours, but did not cross the mark, and is likely to recede.
