Muzaffarpur, Jan. 23 -- Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday unveiled development projects worth Rs 853 crore for Muzaffarpur district, covering a total of 172 schemes through inauguration, foundation-laying and commencement of works.

Addressing a programme during his ongoing Samriddhi Yatra in Ahiyapur, the Chief Minister remotely unveiled foundation plaques for the projects.

Of the total schemes, 47 projects worth Rs 212 crore were inaugurated, foundation stones were laid for 89 projects costing Rs 194 crore, while work commenced on 36 projects involving an outlay of Rs 447 crore.

During the visit, Kumar reviewed the progress of several ongoing development works in the district.
