Patna, Feb. 1 -- Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday welcomed the union Budget 2026-27, saying its provisions for high-speed rail corridors, new waterways, textile parks, and employment generation reflect a development-oriented vision for Bihar as well as the entire country.
In a post on X, the Chief Minister said, "The union Budget has proposed the introduction of seven high-speed rail corridors across the country. The Varanasi-Siliguri high-speed rail corridor will greatly benefit Bihar as well. In addition, the budget has announced the creation of 20 new national waterways across the country.
