Patna, April 14 -- Indicating a transition of power in Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar chaired a brief but crucial cabinet meeting on Tuesday that lasted around 17 minutes. Kumar reportedly took his cabinet colleagues into confidence about his proposed move to the Rajya Sabha and the formation of a new government in the state.
The meeting turned emotional as Nitish Kumar expressed gratitude to his fellow ministers, government officials and staff for their support during his long tenure.
Cabinet members, in turn, acknowledged his leadership and thanked him for nearly two decades of governance in Bihar.
