Patna, Aug. 15 -- Expressing profound grief over the death of 11 people from Bihar in a tragic road accident in East Bardhaman district of West Bengal, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today announced an ex-gratia of RS 2 lakh to the kin of each deceased.
Calling the accident "deeply tragic," the Chief Minister said here that an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh would be paid to the next of kin of the deceased from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, along with Rs 50,000 each for the injured.
He also wished for the speedy recovery of those undergoing treatment.
