Patna, May 13 -- Expressing deep sorrow over the killing of a BSF cop Ram Babu Singh, in the cross-border shelling by Pakistan during Operation Sindoor, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced an ex gratia of Rs 50 lakh to the family of the martyred cop.
In his condolence message, Kumar said here on Tuesday that he was deeply hurt by the incident and added that the country will always remember his martyrdom.
The Chief Minister prayed to God to give strength to the bereaved family members to bear the pain in this hour of grief.
