New Delhi, Jan. 20 -- Following an entire day's nomination process on Monday at the BJP headquarters, senior party leader Nitin Nabin, 45, is set to formally assume office as the Bharatiya Janata Party's new national president on Tuesday, succeeding Jagat Prakash Nadda.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend the event around 11:30 am. Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and other BJP leaders will also be present.
He is a five-term MLA, who turned out to be the sole candidate in the race, thereby making him the youngest leader to hold the top position in the party's history.
