Srinagar, Feb. 6 -- The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday conducted searches at the Government Medical College (GMC), Anantnag, in Jammu and Kashmir in connection with its investigation into the Delhi car bomb blast case in November last year, official sources said.

The blast has been linked to the so-called "white collar" terror module that was busted by J&K police last November.

According to officials, a team of NIA sleuths arrived at the medical college and carried out searches related to the recovery of an assault rifle from a locker belonging to Dr Adeel Ahmed Rather, a resident of Anantnag, who was arrested by the Jammu and Kashmir Police in the case.
