Kendrapara, May 20 -- The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has sought an Action Taken Report (ATR) from the Sundargarh District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police regarding the brutal murder of five members of a nomadic family.
The incident occurred on the night of October 29, 2024, in Sundargarh district, where five members of a nomadic family were killed, and five others were allegedly kidnapped.
The NHRC issued the order on Monday, acting on a petition filed by civil rights advocate Radhakanta Tripathy.
