Moscow, May 30 -- Washington Capitals' Russian forward Alexander Ovechkin will return to Russia with his family after the next season, as he has a contract for another year, Ovechkin's wife Anastasia Shubskaya said.
On May 24, Ovechkin arrived in Moscow from the United States on vacation.
"Alexander has a contract for one more year. So, he will play out the next season and then we will fly back to Moscow to live. To our homeland. We will stay in Russia, yes ... He has his last season next year. I want him to simply enjoy what he loves, to simply enjoy this last season," Shubskaya said in an interview with the AiF website.
