Thiruvananthapuram, Jan. 1 -- Marking the New Year with a major push for public health, the Kerala State Health Department will launch its people-centric wellness campaign 'Arogyam Anandam - Vibe 4 Wellness' on Thursday, with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurating the programme at the Central Stadium here.
Around one million people are expected to take up physical exercise on New Year's Day as part of the initiative.
The campaign is a key component of the second phase of the Nava Kerala Karma Padhathi - Ardhram Mission, under which the Health Department is implementing 10 major projects, with special emphasis on preventing lifestyle diseases and promoting healthy living.
