Chandigarh, Oct. 4 -- The ongoing dispute in Jalandhar over the "Jai Shri Ram" slogan has taken a dramatic turn with the release of a video by Aam Aadmi Party leader Ayub Khan showing Yogesh Mani, the Hindu youth at the center of the row, shouting the slogan.
The incident unfolded yesterday near Press Club Chowk amid a demonstration by Muslim groups protesting against the events in Bareilly. Yogesh had filed a police complaint claiming he was stopped by Muslims while on his scooter, assaulted after refusing to chant "Allah Hu Akbar," and forced to say "Jai Shri Ram." The video depicts the Muslim group conducting a sit-in with Yogesh passing by raising "Jai Shri Ram" slogans.
