Mumbai, Jan. 15 -- The Navi Mumbai International Airport has crossed the one-lakh passenger mark within the first 19 days of commercial operations, marking a significant early milestone for the newly operational aviation hub in the Mumbai metropolitan region.

According to airport officials, the airport handled a total of 1,09,917 passengers between December 25, 2025 and January 12, 2026. This included 55,934 arriving passengers and 53,983 departing passengers, indicating a balanced traffic flow during the initial phase of operations. The busiest day was recorded on January 10, when the airport handled 7,345 passengers in a single day, an NMIA spokesperson said on Thursday.
