Chennai, Nov. 19 -- Even as yesterday's Low Pressure (LP) Area over Comorin area lay centred over Lakshadweep and adjoining Maldives, a new LP will form over the Bay on November 22, which would become well marked and intensify into a Depression, promising more rains in Cauvery delta, coastal and southern districts of the state from November 21 to 25.
Meanwhile, several south coastal and delta districts received good rains since yesterday with Oothu in Tirunelveli district recordinga maxium of 23 cms of rainfall, followed bu Nalumukku, Kakachi and Manjolai in the same district receiving 21, 19 and 18 cm rains respectively during the last 24 hrs ending at 0830 hrs this morning.
