New Low Pressure area to form over Bay on Nov 22, to become Depresson and intensify further, TN to get heavy rains

Chennai, Nov. 20 -- Even as yesterday's Low Pressure (LP) Area over Lakshadweep andadjoining Maldives persisted, a new LP Area will form over the Bay on November 22, whichwould concentrate into a Depression and intensify further, promising more rains in North,Cauvery delta and southern districts of the state from tomorrow to November 26.

Meanwhile, several south coastal districts received copious rains with Ayikudi in Tenkasidistrict recording a maxium of 11 cms of rainfall, followed by Ambasamudram and KannadalanAnicut (Tirunelveli district) 11 each, Oothu, Nalmukku (both Tirunelveli district) and Tenkasi9 each, Karuppanadhi Dam (Tenkasi) and Kakkachi (Tirunelveli district) 8 each, Manjolai(Tirunelveli district) and Shencottah (Tenkasi di...
