Windhoek, Jan. 19 -- South Africa batters put on a run-fest against Tanzania, finishing with397/5 off their 50 overs to post the highest score of the ICC Men's U-19 Cricket World Cup 2026.

The total marks their highest in the tournament history, the eighth highest overall since the competition's inception. This betters South Africa's previous best of 359/6 against Namibia in the 2012 edition. South Africa's innings eclipsed Sri Lanka's milestone outing against Japan in their opening game of the tournament.

According to ICC, the Proteas rode on twin tons from captain Muhammad Bulbulia (108) and Jason Rowles (125 not out) to put the Tanzanian bowlers under the pump.
