Chennai, March 24 -- Hours after inking the seat sharing pact with the dalit outfit Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) of Lok Sabha MP Thol Thirumavalavan allotting eight seats--six Reserved and two General seats--the ruling DMK inked the deal with new entrant DMDK of late actor-politician Vijayakanth on Tuesday night, offering 10 seats to it, for the April 23 polls to elect the 17th Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly.

The DMDK, which has already been allotted a Rajya Sabha after it made its entry into the DMK-led Secular Progressive Allliance (SPA), and its Treasurer L K Sudeesh elected to the Upper House of Parliament, the seat sharing for the Assembly seats was inked this evening.
