Solan, April 27 -- A Nepali boy died on the spot while eight others from Nepal, including two babies, were injured when a private tipper truck carrying them rolled down into gorge near Dumehar village under Kandaghat police station in Solan district on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as 14-year-old Sameer. The injured persons -- namely Prakash, Shanta, Anjali, Sunita, Maya, residents of Surket in Nepal. Prem Rai of Kathmandu, Nepal, baby child D/O Prakash age-one year, and three year old baby child D/O Babloo were referred to IGMC Shimla. Preliminary investigations by police revealed that the truck was taking them from Kandaghat to Dumehar village.
