Mumbai, March 13 -- Emphasising the importance of gender-sensitive planning in urban development, Maharashtra Legislative Council Deputy Chairperson Dr. Neelam Gorhe said on Friday that creating safer cities requires focused infrastructure planning and sustained public investment aimed at women's safety.
She was speaking as the keynote speaker at an international seminar on "Infrastructure and Public Investment for Women's Safety" where she highlighted the evolution of women-centric policies in Maharashtra before a global audience.
