Chandigarh, Sept. 2 -- Haryana Police have achieved remarkable success this year in tracing mobile phones through the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal. Between January 1 2025 and July 31, 2025, nearly 4,000 mobile phones were returned to their rightful owners.
This achievement places Haryana among the leading states in the country where technology and police coordination have delivered direct benefits to the public.
According to an official statement, in Gurugram, the highest number of 1,195 mobile phones were returned to their owners. Sonipat recorded 609, and Yamunanagar returned 288 mobile phones. Districts like Hisar, Rewari, Sirsa, and Palwal also delivered good results, further strengthening this initiative.
