New Delhi, Jan. 21 -- New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) on Wednesday approved a wide range of proposals at a meeting that focused on long-term urban development, reliable utilities, employee welfare and ease of doing business in the NDMC area.
Among the key decisions, the Council approved the extension of the Liberalised Medical Health Scheme to all contractual employees and their dependents.
Around 878 contractual employees, many of whom have been serving for over a decade, will now be eligible for cashless medical treatment, marking a major step towards social and health security.
