New Delhi, Feb. 4 -- New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) on Tuesday inaugurated two CNG-operated Mechanical Road Sweepers (MRS) at Connaught Place as part of the civic body's initiative to strengthen mechanised road cleaning and curb air and dust pollution in the national capital.
Addressing the occasion, Kuljeet Singh Chahal, Vice Chairperson of the NDMC said "NDMC is undertaking mechanised sweeping of major roads during both day and night shifts through the deployment of Mechanical Road Sweepers."He said the advanced cleaning system plays a crucial role in reducing road dust, improving air quality and ensuring safer, cleaner streets for residents and visitors.
