Mumbai, April 20 -- Chairperson of the National Commission for Women (NCW), Vijaya Rahatkar, announced on Monday that the panel has taken suo motu cognisance of the Amravati-Paratwada obscene video case, the latest scandal that has rocked Maharashtra after the fake godman Kharat and TCS Nashik office episodes.
Highlighting the severity of the matter, she confirmed that a high-level Fact-Finding Committee of the NCW is already on the ground to ensure a thorough investigation.
Rahatkar revealed that the Fact-Finding Committee has been active for the past two days, conducting an extensive tour of the affected areas.The committee has held detailed discussions with the local police and interacted with the relatives of the victims.
