Kendrapara, Feb. 19 -- The National Commission for Safai Karamcharis (NCSK) has sought an Action Taken Report from the Odisha Government regarding the broad daylight murder of a Safai Karamchari in Bhubaneswar.
Adjudicating a petition filed by Radhakanta Tripathy, a human rights activist, the apex panel for Safai Karamcharis on Monday directed the Additional District Magistrate of Bhubaneswar to prioritize the case.
In his petition, Tripathy stated that Sahadev Nayak, who worked as a sanitation supervisor in the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), was beheaded on the railway overbridge near Rasulgarh while returning home after dropping his daughter off at school.
