New Delhi, March 12 -- A panel at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)Gandhinagar will decide whether Michel Danino should remain a guest professor after the Supreme Court advised public institutions to cut ties with him and two other authors of a withdrawn NCERT Class 8 textbook that contained a disputed passage about judicial corruption.
The court on Wednesday directed the Centre, states, union Territories, universities, and public institutions to distance themselves from members of the textbook development team responsible for a chapter on the judiciary that triggered controversy over a passage referring to alleged corruption in the judicial system.
