Navratri begins with grandeur in Marathwada; Ghatasthapana performed in all eight districts

Ch. Sambhajinagar, Sept. 22 -- The Sharadiya Navratri festival began with grandeur across all eight districts of the Marathwada region today. Thousands of devotees performed the traditional Ghatasthapana rituals during the auspicious muhurat between 6:09 AM and 8:06 AM, marking the first day of the ten-day celebration.

The Pratipada tithi began at 1:23 AM on September 22 and will end at 2:55 AM on September 23. The Abhijit muhurat was from 11:49 AM to 12:38 PM. As per tradition, devotees installed sacred Kalash in temples and their homes, filled with water, decorated with mango leaves, and topped with a coconut wrapped in red cloth.
