Mumbai , Sept. 22 -- Navratri, one of the most auspicious Hindu festivals, begins today and Mumbaikars are ready to indulge in its tune by grooving on garba beats.
Various garba events have been organised across the Mumbai metropolitan region and will continue till the last day of the nine-days event on October 1 following this, the Mumbai Police have now geared up to maintain law and order during Navratri celebrations.
Extra vigilance will be maintained at garba and dandiya venues, with a special focus on the safety of women and children.
